Structured for Certainty. Built for Scale.
Caldwell Energy brings institutional discipline to African upstream - deal by deal, asset by asset, with no blind pools and no misaligned incentives.
How We Structure Capital
Each Caldwell Energy asset is held within a dedicated, ring-fenced SPV. Capital is raised specifically for that asset - not pooled across a portfolio. This means every capital partner, whether a senior lender, structured credit provider, or direct co-investor, has complete visibility into what they own, how it is protected, and how returns flow back to them.
This structure eliminates cross-asset exposure, preserves covenant clarity, and allows each deal to be sized, sequenced, and secured on its own merits.
How We Protect Capital
Caldwell Energy structures every transaction with the same security discipline regardless of deal size. Our security framework is designed to meet the standards of international project finance lenders and institutional credit partners.
Our Commitments to Capital Partners
We operate on a simple principle - capital partners should never have to chase information, question their position, or wonder what is happening on the asset.
"Caldwell Energy works with a focused group of partners who share our conviction in African energy and our standards for how capital should be deployed."
We do not work with every partner. We work with the right ones.
Bringing Your Asset to Production
If you hold a marginal field licence, a stranded asset, or an underdeveloped production interest in Nigeria or across Sub-Saharan Africa, Caldwell Energy offers a structured path to development. We bring capital, operator capability, technical expertise, and an institutional governance framework - so you do not have to choose between developing the asset yourself and selling it outright.
We engage on Farm-In, RSA, joint development, and structured acquisition structures. Every engagement begins with a confidential technical and commercial review, at no cost and with no obligation.
